Aramid fiber braided packing is made of DuPont's continuous filament Kevlar yarn impregnated with PTFE emulsion and processed with lubricant. The strength of Kevlar is as solid as steel. Compared with other types of packing this style can resist more severe applications and higher pressures. It can be installed separately or as end rings with other styles of packing to combine different characteristics into the seal.
Can be used in pumps, valves, mixers, reactors, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, food, sugar, chemical and petrochemical, power stations, steel mills and many other areas. It is also ideally used as anti-extrusion rings in combination with softer packing.
Suitable for most chemicals, water, steam, oils, solvents, abrasive sand, slurry and other gritty material
Not Suitable for highly concentrated acids, caustic solutions, alkali metals, oxygen
